Submission Guidelines

Thank you for choosing New York City Books for your publishing journey. To ensure a smooth and efficient process for publishing your book, please follow our guidelines for submitting your manuscript digitally:

1. Parties

• Translator: New York City Books
• Client: [Client's Name], [Client's Address]

1. File Format:

Submit your manuscript as a Microsoft Word document (.docx) or google.doc.Ensure the document is not password protected or encrypted.

2. Document Formatting:

• Use a standard, readable font such as Times New Roman or Arial, 12-point size.
• Set your document to 1.5 line spacing.
• Margins should be set to 1 inch on all sides.
• After Book title page, please provide contents with chapter titles (page numbers are not required)
• Begin each chapter on a new page, with the chapter title centered at the top.
• Use the 'Insert Page Break' feature between chapters, not manual line breaks.

3. Title Page:

Your manuscript should include a title page with the following information:

• Book title
• Subtitle (if applicable)
• Author’s name
• Contact information (email and phone number)

4. File Naming:

• Name your file using the following format: [Lastname]-[BookTitle].docx. For example, "Smith-GreatAmericanNovel.docx".

5. Submission Process:

• After making your payment, you will be directed to submission page.
• Include in your email:
• Your full name as it appears on your payment confirmation.
• A brief description of your book.
• Any specific instructions or notes you wish to communicate to our editorial team.

6. Post-Submission:

• You will receive an acknowledgment email confirming the receipt of your manuscript right away.
• Our editorial team will review your manuscript and contact you if any further information or corrections are needed.
• We appreciate your patience and will keep you updated on the status of your submission.
